Chris Johnson told CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely that the Celtics intend to bring him back for another 10 day contract:

Johnson has exhibited some inspired play during his stint in green thus far. Yesterday he was the only Celtic to play the entire fourth quarter against the Nets.

"He was great," Coach Stevens said of Johnson. "He's been fantastic and aggressive and just a really good addition."

Undoubtedly, Johnson has been effective in the absence of Avery Bradley and Jerryd Bayless. In yesterday's game against the Nets he posted a final line of 12 PTS / 1 AST / 4 REB while shooting 4-6 from the field, 2-2 at the line and 2-3 from downtown in 28 minutes.

"The coaches and GMs like me. That's a good thing," Johnson told CSNNE. "I'm just going to stay after it and stay hungry."

It is very unusual for a D-League player to be pulled up and immediately see so much action, but Johnson is seizing the opportunity.

"It just shows that they like what I've been doing here," Johnson started. "I'm just trying to be positive about the situation, stay humble, work hard at everything and show the staff and my teammates that I want to be here."
