Brad Stevens: Rajon Rondo still not cleared to practice

Yesterday Gary Washburn set twitter abuzz with a rumor that Rajon Rondo may have been medically cleared to partake in full contact practice.  Shortly thereafter Celtics head coach Brad Stevens confirmed that this was not true.  Via ESPN Boston's Chris Forsberg:

"Rajon is still out," Stevens said. "He did some practice today, but pretty normal for the last couple of weeks." Rondo still hasn't gained clearance for full-contact activities, something that likely will require a visit to operating surgeon Dr. James Andrews. "He’s doing a lot in practice but he hasn’t been cleared for anything above that," Stevens said.

You can expect this to be a very popular story line for the foreseeable future.  My guess is we see Rondo practice this month, and play his first game sometime in January.
