State’s NCAA D1 hoops coaches, Brad Stevens to host breakfast at TD Garden
Sept. 26 event will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer
BOSTON – The state’s Division 1 men’s college basketball coaches will host a panel discussion featuring first-year Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens at the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Breakfast, from 7:30 to 9:30 Thursday, Sept 26 in the Legends’ Room at TD Garden.

The breakfast will be moderated by ESPN college basketball writer Jeff Goodman and discussion around NCAA basketball in Massachusetts and across the country.

Coaches scheduled to attend the breakfast include: Stevens, Tommy Amaker (Harvard), Milan Brown (Holy Cross), Bill Coen (Northeastern), Steve Donahue (Boston College), Pat Duquette (UMass-Lowell) Joe Jones (Boston University) and Derek Kellogg (UMass-Amherst).

Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer, a nation-wide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nation-wide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
