Goodbye to Shavlik Randolph, option not picked up

The Celtics made a move to save roster space, not picking up Shavlik Randolph's option.
Randolph quickly became a fan favorite after a few good games towards the end of the regular season. That said, keeping Randolph wouldn't have made much sense. He would've been owed $1.1 million on a bad team with plenty of young bigs and plenty of salary.
