Larry Legend showing Pacer players how it is done

"He picked a ball up that had rolled over. He rolled up his sleeves and made about 15 in a row and just walked out like nothing just happened. It was the craziest thing I’ve seen."-Paul George

Great story from Ball Don't Lie  on Pacers star Paul George's comments regarding Larry Legend. If you missed it,  Bird apparently walked into a Pacers practice, sank 15 jumpers and left like it wasn't a big deal.  It was cool how the young Pacers players were so awestruck by it.  It really is true that a shooter never really loses it. Watching Larry Bird shoot is like, well there isn't even a good analogy for it, but it is a thing of beauty.

Given that the Celtics are basically out of contention this season, I will be rooting hard for this Pacers team to overtake the Heat in the East. I like their young players in George, Hibbert, and Stephenson, and of course Larry Bird is my favorite athlete of all time.  In this time of spoiled professional athletes it is always nice to hear that young players still can appreciate greatness when they see it.
