Rajon Rondo out vs Miami Heat, headed to hospital
The media is reporting that another change will be happening in the Celtics lineup today. Though this one isn't exactly on purpose, like Jared Sullinger starting over Brandon Bass.
Rondo suffered this injury in the double overtime loss against the Hawks on Friday. He received treatment twice but was not able to go.
Rondo was trying to become the first player to record three straight triple doubles. Though he could still accomplish that feat, more concerning is when he can come back. His status is currently "day to day" which, as Patriots fans know, could mean anything.
The Celtics have lost six straight, and even the most optimistic fans have to say that without Rondo this could become seven straight.
Here's to hoping the Celtics pull off a miracle.
Rajon Rondo is heading to New England Baptist for an MRI on hyperextended right knee and will not play today. Courtney Lee will start.
