Los Angeles Lakers fire Mike Brown already
As USA Today first reported, Mike Brown has been fired as Lakers coach.

Mike Brown fired a day after being publicly supported by Jim Buss. If this doesn't make the vote of confidence a kiss of death, nothing will

Wow, after 5 games? Really? Does Kobe's death stare really carry that much weight in LA? This must be an all time record for quickest firing.
This just screams of giving into the media and fans. Really, five games? With a whole lot of new players trying to get into the mix?
I understand that their record is unacceptable, but are you really going to put that all on the coach? I mean, this is the NBA not the NFL, coaches don't have nearly the amount of impact in this league that people were making it out to be.
So, who will replace Mike Brown?
It would be amazing if Stan Van Gundy stepped in, but I really doubt that'll happen. For obvious reasons.
Other candidates, Mike D'Antoni?
Is this the return of Phil Jackson??
