Celtics lose to Heat in overtime 115-111

Rajon Rondo turned in a performance for the ages, but it wasn't enough. Big shots from Miami's role players at the end of regulation, then Pierce fouling out were too much to overcome. The Celtics are now down 2-0 going back to Boston and face seemingly insurmountable odds in winning the series .

Despite the loss I am still really proud of this team. Rajon Rondo played his freaking heart out tonight. He finished with 44 points, 10 assists, and 8 rebounds and looked like Larry Legend out there hitting jumpers. He also played all 53 minutes of the game.   His first half was maybe the best first half of basketball I've seen all playoffs. Pierce had a solid game with 21 points and we could've really used him in overtime. Garnett wasn't his normal dominant self, but still pitched in 18 points and 8 boards. Ray Allen hit a game tying 3 to force overtime though his miss with 3 minutes left that would've put us up 8 probably was the turning point in the game.

The real issue as always were the other guys. Bass was terrible again. No one else made any contributions. We can't expect the big 3 and Rondo to carry us every game. Someone needs to step up.

For Miami, Chalmers  had a great game with 22 points. Lebron had 34 but missed two game winning shots(surprise) and scored most of his points from the foul line. Dwayne Wade had 22 points as well.  Haslem may have been the player of the game for them with 13 points and some huge shots at the end.

It's a heart breaking loss and most people will blame the refs but there's really no point. We lost the game and can't get it back. We know we can beat this team so let's go out and win a couple in Boston. Good night.
