Celtics clobber falling Sixers on Easter Sunday, 103-79

Boston took advantage of the 76ers on Easter Sunday with a score of 103-79.  The Celtics has complete control of this game from beginning to end, continuing their impressive play after the loss to the Bulls, forcing Doc Rivers to call the team out.

Rajon Rondo has been fabulous during the Celtics 17-7 run in the last 24 games, giving them a three game division lead.  Rajon had 15 assists continuing his impressive streak of 10+ assists.  Even more impressive is Rondo only took 5 shots, a couple of those were as the shot clock was winding down.

The other "point" guard Avery Bradley continues to shine with another solid game with 18 points, helping Doc justify the move of Ray Allen to the bench.  This has allowed Ray to focus more on the offensive end with the second unit while playing less minutes to rest his ankle.

Kevin Garnett had his way with Elton Brand, again.   KG loves this match up as he excelled for 20 points on 8 of 11 shooting. More importantly, Kevin led the way for Boston to triumph defensively over the 76ers who struggled throughout this game.  Since moving to center, Kevin has turned back into an all star caliber player.

This was a huge win for Boston because they have a few games against lesser opponents before they face the tougher opponents again.  They have 10 games left to get the best position in the post season as they can get and tonight was a good step to locking down a top 4 seed.
