Lakers and Stern to Blame for no David West in Boston

The Celts fell out of the David West running when the New Orleans Hornets couldn’t find a place to send Jermaine O’Neal (Lamar Odom going from the Los Angeles Kings to the Dallas Mavericks got in the way).

So due to David Stern killing the CP3 for Gasol/Odom trade and a disgruntled Lamar Odom then demanding a trade, the Mavs changed course and snagged Odom instead of Jermaine O'Neal (who they originally wanted to fill the Tyson Chandler void). It was pretty weird how at first it was a done deal (West to Boston) and then all of a sudden he was a Pacer. I know Stern didn't kill the CP3 trade with the intent of screwing the Celtics, but I wouldn't put it past the Lakers for taking joy in their part of the Celtics missing out on the all-star forward from New Orleans.
