Tony Allen Shows Love For Celtics Life, For Danny? ... Not So Much

So excited after Celtics Life was voted the #1 Sports Blog in Boston yesterday, I was retweeting some stuff from my time line on twitter when I came across Tony Allen showing support for the NBA players and Union head Billy Hunter. This is what made TA such a great teammate on the Celtics. Players knew he'd go all out for the team. If you recall when Allen returned to Boston this past season for the Grizzlies one appearance here, TA got emotional after the game and said he'd always be a Celtic. That he was just wearing a different jersey right now.

This didn't have to be of course. Ainge refused to show TA love last Summer. Allen felt he deserved a 3 year deal, but Ainge would only offer 2. Allen went on to sign with the Grizzlies and lead them to the Western Conference Semi-Finals. The Celtics, after  TA's replacement Marquis Daniels was injured again, were forced to trade their starting center for a backup wing, fell to the 3 seed and got bounced in 5 games by the Heat. Interesting to see that TA retweets the comment by a @CelticsLife follower, "Danny is a fool...he should get fired." I don't blame Allen for feeling this way. I mean, if your boss let you go and you went on to flourish elsewhere, you'd most likely feel the same right? Only difference is Allen is in the spotlight as a celebrity, so when he tweets the sentiment it becomes news.  Personally I love the honesty. Perkins was like that too. Miss those two.

In case you were wondering, months ago I asked around if this was TA's official twitter and it was confirmed by reliable sources.
