Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll Invites Nate Robinson to Practice

Former Celtic Nate Robinson, who is very vocal both on the sidelines and on twitter, mentioned a few weeks ago that if the lockout continues he would pursue football. Nate was a 2-sport athlete at the University of Washington, playing corner back on the field and point guard on the court.

Nate decided to take a step forward in that direction by having a twitter conversation with Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, telling him, "Coach give me a chance and I'll prove it to u." Carroll responded by saying that Nate's skills on the court could translate to football, and invited him to the Seahawks' practice. However, the Seattle Times reported that Nate was a no-show at practice that day.
Carroll said practice started at 1:30 p.m., and requested Robinson bring his cleats. Practice came and went without an appearance from Robinson

"He may be a little distracted with basketball, I don't know," Carroll said afterward. "If he is, he probably won't be able to do it. But if he can get focused, there's always a chance."
I'm a little disappointed that Nate didn't capitalize on the opportunity that Pete Carroll gave him, but probably it's in Nate's best interest to stick with basketball.
