Afternoon Delight: New Celtics Lead Assistant
With Lawrence Frank leaving the Celtics to accept the head coaching position with the Detroit Pistons, it's time to find a new lead assistant. Celtics Life decided to think outside the box and here's who we came up with:
Jose Baez:
The Celtics typically look for a strong defensive mind as their lead assistant. If Baez can successfully defend Casey Anthony, coming up with schemes to defend the Kobe's and LeBron's of the NBA should be a piece of cake.
Gary Tanguay:
This would be a take one for the team hire as I feel Tanguay on the bench would be more palatable than listening to him on the pre game, half time, or post game show. I stopped watching all 3 of those shows because of him. Added bonus is that the Celtics don't allow assistants to speak to the media, so we would never have to listen to him. This idea could blow up in our faces if CSNNE replaced him with Michael Felger or Andy Gresh.
Megan Fox:She wasn't retained for the new Transformers movie (mainly for being a dumbass), so she's in need of the work. With Kristine Leahy leaving the Celtics for a new job at Fox 25 (no relation to Megan), fans are in desperate need for someone to oggle on the sideline. It's either hire a hot assistant or spend your time looking at Greg Dickerson? You make the call.

Rasheed Wallace: We previously mentioned 'Sheed as a candidate for the top spot in Detroit, but maybe he's willing to start his coaching career as an assistant. I didn't miss 'Sheed's lazy game and 3 point chucking this past season, but I definitely missed his "Ball Don't Lie!" Would be great to be able to hear that on a nightly basis again.
Armond Hill: Allegedly this guy has been a Celtics assistant for 7 years now, but has anyone ever seen him do anything? I did find the picture to the left where Doc and Thibs are pointing one way and Hill is pointing the other way. He could either be totally clueless or see things no other coach does. Due to the possibility of the latter, he must be considered a viable candidate.
