Celtics Crush Nets To Win Seventh Straight
Despite missing Rajon Rondo (hamstring injury) the Boston Celtics easily dismantled the New Jersey Nets for their 7th straight victory. The final score was 100-75. The Celtics have now won seven straight games and sit atop the Eastern Conference with 16 wins and only four losses. Boston lead by just two points after the 1st quarter but stifled New Jersey in the second frame, holding them to just 12 points, while scoring 30 on the other end and that trend continued throughout most of the game.
As usual, it was an all-team effort that gave Boston the win. The Celtics were led by Nate Robinson, who had 21 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds while Glen "Big Baby" Davis added 16 points and 9 boards off the bench. Shaquille O'Neal left the game early (second quarter) with a sore calf. Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett all rested in the 4th quarter. The Nets were led by Jordan Farmar, who had 16 points off the bench. The Celtics next face the Denver Nuggets on December 8 at the TD Garden.
