What I Want to See Tomorrow
So after what seemed like an eternity from when the C's were eliminated by the Magic, the 2010 preseason finally gets underway tomorrow as the Celtics take on the Rockets.
What would I like to see from this game? A few things. First and foremost for me, is a solid 18-24 minutes for Garnett. No limping whatsoever. I don't care if he goes for 5 and 3- he needs those minutes out there.
Certain other things would be nice. Think back to last season's preseason opener- the seamless ball movement of the starting 5 (sans Perk for O'Bryant) was a thing of beauty. Eddie House and Ray Allen each knocking down a 3. Rajon Rondo having a half-a-triple-double (5, 5, and 5) in limited minutes. Sheed knocking down a 3. Shelden Williams and Big Baby knocking down 15 footers. A jump hook from Perk. An out-of-this-world NBA Live-like finish for Marquis Daniels. JR Giddens to get on the floor. Lester showing he has a pulse. Sweetney getting an and-one. Scalabrine wearing a headband. Paul being Paul.
I don't care if the game is a loss, whatsoever. Just want to see some fluidity with the main core of guys and some pleasant surprises by some of the bench guys.
