Video: Marcus Smart 2020 playoff highlights

Here are Marcus Smart's highlights from the seeding games and the 2020 playoffs courtesy of Tomasz Kordylewski. After Gordon Hayward went down with a Grade 3 ankle sprain in the first game of the playoffs, the Celtics needed Smart to step up and take his place in the starting line-up. And he did just that as he was one of the team's best players and leaders as they advanced all the way to the 6th game of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Unfortunately with Smart inserted in the starting line-up, the bench greatly suffered. Smart was the team's 6th man, but there really was never a 7th or 8th man to take his place. Hayward did return and looked pretty good his first game back, but his injured ankle quickly regressed and so went the team's depth again. Smart will either return to the 6th man role in the 2021 season or stay in the starting line-up. Regardless he will continue to have a major role for the Celtics.
