I have definitely commented on how you could never televise games with no fans if Kevin Garnett was still playing. I suppose between the fake fan noise, the annoying delay in the broadcast stream, and the absence of mics on the floor, the NBA has eliminated the issue of hearing players and their potty mouths.
My guess is KG and other players from his era could have played in a bubble if necessary. There would have been less fraternizing between teams though.
A game broadcast live (not on a 30 second delay) with the court mics on, no fake fan noise and with KG playing would be bonkers. Multiple FCC violations for sure.
