Major time tonight for Timelord, Brad Wanamaker & Semi Ojeleye

With home court assured versus the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs, tonight's game against the Wizards will mean rest and/or recovery for a slew of Celtics players. It will also mean a longer look at some subs that could end up seeing time in the post-season.

That 10-man injury report may just have set a record for a single NBA game. But it does make sense. R. J. Hunter and P. J. Dozier should see action, but they are 2-way contract guys that won't see action in the post-season. If Daniel Theis and Jaylen Brown play, limited minutes would be a wise move for them. But most of us have been waiting to see Rob Williams, Brad Wanamaker and Semi Ojeleye get extended time on the court, and that should happen tonight.

Washington is out of the playoffs, so this game should also see a lot of their bench players in action. Even though this game is virtually meaningless for both teams, extended time for bench players can have value in deciding next season's roster moves. The Celtics have a number of players on expiring contracts or player options. The roster for next season is in Limbo, so even the two-way-contract guys have something to prove. Look for our analysis tomorrow morning.
