Eye on the Draft: Virginia defeats Texas Tech in thrilling NCAA finale (highlights)



Due to the conditional Kings and Grizzlies lottery picks the Celtics own in this June's draft, Danny hinge was sure to have been watching last night's NCAA Championship. Texas Tech's Jarrett Culver is higher on NBA mock draft boards than Virginia's De'Andre Hunter, but it was the latter who shined for his team.





The Kings have won a couple games too many, so the Celtics odds of getting a pick in the 2-4 range are pretty slim. But Hunter and maybe even Culver could conceivably fall to #9 or #10 where the Celtics also could be picking depending on where the Grizzlies pick lands. Both players are sophomores and Hunter is old for a sophomore (21), so that could knock them down some draft boards.

Many variables are still at play, but either player would look good in Celtics green.
