Kevin Garnett suing former accountant over alleged $77 million theft

Not all the news from former Boston Celtics bubbling up today is good.

Evidently, Kevin Garnett is suing a former accountant and his firm for allegedly defrauding the former Celtics big man for $77 million dollars.

According to a lawsuit quoted in an Associated Press article reprinted on Boston.com, former accountant Charles Banks IV worked with Michael Wertheim and Welenken CPAs to rob "Garnett of his earnings and assets for many years, including the many years that Welenken and Wertheim provided accounting services to Garnett and his business interests".

Banks is currently serving a four-year term for doing much the same to another legendary big man, Tim Duncan. We wish KG luck in his quest for justice - given the circumstances, it seems likely a favorable ruling will come his way.
