Ex-Celtic Amir Johnson signs a 1-year deal with 76ers

Former Boston Celtics big man Amir Johnson has agreed to return to the Philadelphia 76ers on a one year deal, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

That deal, reportedly for the veteran's minimum, was likely extended because of Johnson's popularity and veteran presence in the locker room more than his glacial three-point shooting and five good minutes he can still offer on-court per tilt.

Amir has long been known for being something of a glue guy, and while it's never fun to watch a player arrive in the last season or two of their careers, and less so on a rival squad, at least the man is still doing what he loves.

Could we see Assistant Coach Johnson some time in the not-so-distant future?

I certainly wouldn't be surprised.
