Boston Celtics defeat the Miami Heat in Summer League Playoffs, 74-72


The Boston Celtics defeated the Miami Heat in Las Vegas Summer League Playoffs.

The game started out a little rough for the Summer League Celts, falling behind early to the Summer Heat in the first.

Boston kept it fairly close throughout the first half, however, and stormed into the lead early in the third.

They managed to maintain a considerable lead throughout much of the final two frames before Miami staged a comeback of its own as the game (and the Heat's Summer League season) came to an end, with Boston winning 74-72.

Boston's usual stalwarts took a backseat to some of the depth guys today, with Pierria Henry leading all Celtics with 15 points and five dimes, Guerschon Yabusele putting up 12 points and ten boards, and Jarrod Uthoff 11 points and six rebounds.

The Celtics will next play the Portland Trailblazers in the Summer League Quarterfinals tomorrow, Sunday July 15 at 8pm EST.
