Glen 'Big Baby' Davis Is Person Of Interest In Parking Lot Attack
EXCLUSIVE
Ex-NBA star Glen "Big Baby" Davis has been named a person of interest in a parking lot beatdown that left one man hospitalized ... TMZ Sports has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... witnesses have told investigators Davis was driving erratically in a parking lot Sunday evening near Factory nightclub in West Hollywood.

After nearly striking a man with his vehicle, witnesses say the victim tried to confront Davis ... but Davis got out of his car and things turned physical.

We're told witnesses say Davis threw the man to the ground -- and eventually left the scene.

If the person of interest is in fact Big Baby, the complainant must have had second thoughts about confronting the man that almost hit him as he got out of his car. Big Baby was drafted by the Celtics with the 35th pick in the 2007 draft and was listed at 6'9" and 290 pounds. I doubt he is any lighter now. David played eight seasons in the NBA, four of them with Boston. His best season was in 2012-13 with Orlando where he averaged 15 points and seven rebounds.

This was not Davis' only recent encounter with the law. He was arrested in February of this year for allegedly selling marijuana out of his hotel room in Maryland, according to TMZ Sports:

Davis -- who last played in the league with the Clippers in 2015 -- was busted in a Hampton Inn in Aberdeen, MD on February 7 by cops after the hotel owner smelled weed in his room, knocked on the door and was told to "F*** off!" ... according to court records obrained by WMAR Baltimore.

Aberdeen Police Lieutenant William Reiber says Davis had 126 grams of marijuana on him, along with $92,164 in a briefcase and a "ledger that contained language which is consistent with someone involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics."

The ledger reportedly had names of people who owed money along with baggies for packaging the weed ... which was from an L.A. wholesaler Davis told cops he was in business with.

He told cops he was Maryland to visit family. David was indicted weeks later on the drug charges, but his lawyer says he's innocent.

Big Baby's high point was no doubt his Championship 2007-08 season with the Boston Celtics. He was indicted on the drug-sale charges and we await further information on the alleged attack. It appears his life has taken a turn for the worst. We hope that he turns it around.
