A lot of people just don't get why Al Horford is so valuable to the Boston Celtics.



Those people tend to be box score watchers with no real understanding of how Al's defense and distribution fuel Boston's success. But they can familiarize themselves with the latter in the video above, which breaks down how Horford often functions as a "point-forward" for the Celtics. It creates serious headaches for other teams to have to extend one of their big men out to the perimeter to defend Al as he brings the ball up court, opening up the floor for shooters and drivers alike.
