Celtics have best rebounding game in win vs. Wolves

The plot line remains the same for the Boston Celtics. It's like the line from the movie, Gladiator. "Win the crowd, and you will win your freedom." For Boston, it comes down to, Win the rebounding battle, and you will win the game.

It is tough to to win the battle off the glass when one of your opponents, Karl Anthony Townes, takes down 23 by himself. But that is what happened in the 91-84 win against the Timberwolves. Boston won the board battle 56-43 and went to a perfect 22-0 win record when outrebounding the opponent.

We know Aron Baynes and Daniel Theis have the size and strength to take down rebounds (10 each), but the two guards, Kyrie IrvingTerry Rozier, each grabbing nine boards? That is just plain tenacity!

Efficient offense can depart at any time. Some of the very best shooters in NBA history have had stretches when their shots simply would not fall. But sound defense and focused rebounding should always be there. They both simply require hard work and dedication to the task.

For the past nine games, the Celtics lead the league in rebounding at a 47.3 clip. They really need to keep this number in the high-40's for the remainder of the season, and frankly, low 50's does not seem out of reach with the guards boarding like they have. "Are you not entertained?" I certainly am! Keep it up guys. You are winning the crowd.
