Jayson Tatum throws out first pitch at Fenway

Boston Celtics rookie, Jayson Tatum, threw out the first pitch before the Boston Red Sox's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.

It has become a yearly tradition that Celtics' first-round pick throws out the first pitch at Fenway Park. The number three overall pick opened up the festivities by displaying his baseball skills, where he wound up and threw a good pitch, which happened to float a tad bit high.

Later in the day, Tatum took to his twitter account to express his excitement and to thank the Red Sox for having him be the guest of honor.

This gesture from the Red Sox shows how valued professional players are in the city of Boston and how much the fans love their sports teams. If Tatum is able to live up to the hype he created for himself with his Summer League performance, expect him to be an instant fan favorite on the Celtics.
