The Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 88-83 behind 15 points apiece from rookies Jayson Tatum and Jabari Bird, with six and eight rebounds, respectively.

The latter rookie's big night was unexpected and a promising development, as was Ante Zizic's 12 points and 13 boards, ending his yo-yo-like series of good and bad outings in Summer League. Demetrius Jackson also chipped in 14 points and four assists as players sought to make an impression with Boston's schedule soon coming to a close for the summer.

The 76ers, down Markelle Fultz, who sprained his ankle earlier in the week against the Golden State Warriors, had solid contributions from Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot with 16 points, Jonah Bolden with 13 points and eight boards, and Melo Trimble, also with 13 points.
