Celtics Draft Night Live Blog: Celtics grab Demetrius Jackson and Ben Bentil in second round

As the first round wraps up, somehow, someway, the Celtics are yet to move any of the 8 picks we started with. So far we've taken Jaylen Brown, French Draymond Green and the largest Croatian man in history.

Some of the highlights so far:

Despite a flurry of rumors, Kris Dunn has not been traded in a package for Jimmy Butler... Yet?

14 foreign-born players have been drafted including Thon Maker who skyrocketing up to Milwaukee at #10.

The Thunder traded Serge Ibaka to Orlando for Victor Oladipa, Ersan Ilyasova, and Domantas Sabonis whose dad has the deepest voice since Andre The Giant.

Let's get the second round started and try to pronounce some eastern European names!

10:56 Celtics on the clock with the 31st overall pick and first in the second round. Looks like we are putting Deyonta Davis out of his misery.

11:01 And here's the first Celtic's trade of the night. Davis and the 35th overall pick headed to Memphis for a future Clippers pick held by the Grizzlies.

11:11 Lakers take Ivica Zubac at 32 and Clippers take Cheick Diallo at 33. Still some projected fringe first-rounders available.

11:15 Diallo is headed to New Orleans per Jeff Goodman and Tyler Ullis to Phoenix at 34. Insert stock "if he was taller he'd be a lottery pick" quote here.

11:20 Draft is motoring along now. Grizzlies take Serbian Rade Zagorac with the Celtics pick. Bucks take Malcolm Brogdon at 36. He's a winner and a worker. He should stick around the league.

11:27 Clippers taking Diamond Stone at #40 with the pick from the Diallo deal. Would have been a lottery pick 10 years ago. Reminds people of Al Jefferson.

11:33 Houston taking Zhou Qi from China at 43. A ton of mock drafts had the Celtics taking him. Super skilled big guy but could be anywhere from 19 to 23 years old and disappears when he turns sideways. I have my eyes on Demetrius Jackson and Jake Layman with pick #45.

11:39 Hey I guessed a pick right! C's taking Demetrius Jackson at 45. Not sure what his role will be if he sticks with us but he's a hell of an athlete. He shot poorly this year compared to his 2014 campaign but he's a career 38% 3-point shooter.

11:45 Orlando takes Maryland forward and Wrentham, MA native Jake Layman at #47 and sends him to Portland for a second rounder and cash. Between him and Pat Connaughton last year, Blazers are slowly collecting Massachusetts born second-rounders.

11:53 Another Massachusetts guy! Pacers selecting Iowa State's Georges Niang from Lawrence, MA. Always liked Niang's motor and shooting ability for his size.

11:55 Celtics select Providence forward and Ghana native Ben Bentil with the 51st pick. He outscored Kris Dunn this year. Just sayin'.

11:59 I can't tell you why but I have a feeling the C's will take Ron Baker at 58. Is it possible to draft-and-stash him at Wichita State until he finishes his doctorate? I'm actually not convinced he'll ever leave.

12:05 Kay Felder goes to Atlanta at 54. At a shade over 5'9", he is an absolutely JET. A lot of Isaiah Thomas in his game.

12:11 Celtics taking Iowa State forward Abdel Nader with the 58th pick. No relation to Detroit Red Wings' Justin Abdelkader.

12:16 For those still awake, thanks for sticking around and go everyone except Brooklyn!
