Paul Pierce is 50/50 on retirement

The Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs last night against the Trail Blazers and with father time catching up to Celtics legend Paul Pierce, murmurs of his possible retirement have once again risen:

Pierce has one year left under contract with an option for an extra year after that but Pierce has come out and said that he is considering possible retirement. We've previously written that Pierce's retirement is linked to Kevin Garnett, as they both want to go out together. With Garnett hinting that he's going to come back to play for one more year, it seems more likely than not that Pierce will do the same. For the Clippers, they obviously had a tough time competing without Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Pierce can't carry a team like he used to and looked at times out of sorts with the lineups Doc was using.

While I would love to see Pierce come back and give another year, the place I'd like to see him go to is, home, here in Boston. Next year will likely be Pierce's last year and I would love to see him go out in Celtic Green. While it's unlikely because he's under contract with LA, a Celtics fan can dream am I right?
