Kevin McHale fired as head coach of Houston Rockets

Former Celtics star center Kevin McHale has been fired by the Houston Rockets. McHale has been coaching for Houston for four years after taking the helm in 2012.

The Rockets are off to a sluggish start with a 4-7 record heading into tonight's contest against the Trailblazers. Their most recent loss was dealt by the Celtics in Houston.

As head coach, McHale lead the Rockets to a 193-130 record during his tenure and he guided his team to the Western Conference Finals last spring. Rockets GM Daryl Morey has announced McHale's temporary replacement:

It will be interesting to see where McHale's career will go from here.
