Report: Boston wants to move up in the draft to pick Myles Turner

There's been plenty of speculation about what Boston will do in next week's draft. Reports have surfaced saying the Celtics are looking to move up a few spots to grab a player they covet.

Most have assumed that Willie Cauley-Stein is the target, given his defensive expertise and rim protection. According to RealGM, another big man should be added to that list.

The Boston Celtics are actively attempting to trade up in next week's draft in order to select Myles Turner, according to multiple league sources.

Conveniently enough, CelticsLife's own muggsytobs wrote up an Eye on the Draft for Turner Friday.

He'll need some time to learn the game and hopefully he's put on some muscle so he can defend NBA centers, but this would be a very nice pick. Turner isn't even close to the defender Cauley-Stein is, but that's what makes Trill so special. He can guard pretty much every position on the floor. That being said, Turner is a good defender and a great shot blocker. Oh, and he can shoot, something Trill isn't very good at.

If Boston can somehow complete that rumored swap with the Hornets for pick No. 9, Turner should be available.

There's still a few days left until the draft officially kicks off, so expect to see a few more prospects linked to the Celtics.
