The Boston Celtics defeat the Charlotte Hornets 116-104

Lack of effort? What lack of effort? Boston came to Charlotte to play and got the 116-104 win because of it.

The Celtics came out strong, netting themselves a double-digit lead in the first quarter. The Hornets made a bit of a run in the first quarter and attempted to come back in the fourth, but this one was all Boston.

Marcus Smart's shooting woes took a back seat in this one, as he finished with 14 points on 5-9 shooting to go along with six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a very nice block. Avery Bradley had a hell of a game, finishing with 30 points and eight rebounds. Even Gerald Wallace showed some production against his former team, finishing with four points, five rebounds and a couple steals in 15 minutes.

Isaiah Thomas, however, still isn't quite right. He finished with 10 points on 3-9 shooting, but he did have seven assists.

For Charlotte, Kemba Walker had 28 points and 12 assists and former Celtic Al Jefferson had 12 points and five rebounds.

The Celtics next face the Pacers on Wednesday.
