Jonas Jerebko continues to audition for a post-basketball career as a psychic

When you are a 30-38 basketball team scratching and clawing your way to stay in the playoff hunt, you will take all the added confidence you can get. Celtics' forward, and future male version of Ms. Cleo, Jonas Jerebko, again is predicting a C's victory, this time against the Detroit Pistons, who will visit the TD Garden on Sunday:

You can only nod in agreement with the four-year veteran's cockiness. The C's should win Sunday, even with a depleted roster. The team will be short-handed against the Pistons as Marcus Smart will miss the game due to a suspension after a low-blow on Matt Bonner Friday night. Guard Isaiah Thomas will also miss the contest, his seventh straight, with a badly bruised back. But luckily for the green, Detroit has seemingly mailed in the season, losing 11 of their last 13 games.

Jerebko's guarantee comes after the Celts suffered their second straight L Friday, a 101-89 defeat to the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. The Swede was one of the few bright spots in the game, pulling down 12 rebounds and scoring seven points in 27 minutes of action.

As far as Jerebko's future career as a psychic, there is no word if he is going to pursue the demanding world of predicting the future. The forward assured wins against Memphis and New Orleans a few weeks back so he has a decent track record.

If by any chance Jerebko is a Celtics Life reader, the gambler in me would greatly appreciate his thoughts on the NCAA Tournament, The Masters, Kentucky Derby or even the National Spelling Bee Contest.
