Hopefully the Celtics held a secret full-court scrimmage somewhere in New York last night...
The Celtics had a day off at home on Saturday, then came out flat against Detroit on Sunday. They then traveled to Broolykn and pulled off a huge win the following night. After another day of rest on Tuesday, they put forth that stinker against Miami Wednesday.
Boston faces the Knicks in New York tonight, and clearly the C's will play much better if they didn't have any time off yesterday:
The Celtics have also won their last four second nights of back-to-backs on the road. Ideally they would have played a fake game in Boston last night (maybe against the Harlem Globetrotters?) then traveled afterwards, because that's when they seem to perform at their best.
Unfortunately we know the Celtics left for NYC yesterday afternoon, since Luigi Datome sent out this awesome tweet from the plane:
Boston will take the floor tonight with a half game lead over Indiana, Charlotte and Brooklyn.

With C’s 8-1 on 2nd of back2backs lately, Stevens jokes, "We may just start like going full out scrimmaging at 730 the night before games."
