Evan Turner joins a very short list of Celtics with multiple triple-doubles

In the Celtics 110-91 victory in Brooklyn last night, Evan Turner put up 19 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.  That, my friends, is what we call a triple-double.  Turner grabbed his 10th board with just over a minute remaining, and as usual had something funny to say after the game:

It was the second triple-double of the season (and of his career) for Turner, who also posted one in a win over the Knicks on February 25.

Turner played 390 NBA games (including playoffs) without ever recording a triple-double--now he has two in his last 16.  Over the past four weeks, only Russell Westbrook has more triple-doubles than Turner does (Elfrid Payton did it twice as well).

But, most impressive of all is the company Turner has put himself among in Boston Celtics history.  Here is the complete list of players to record multiple triple-doubles in a Celtics uniform (and not just in one season, over their entire careers in Boston):

Larry Bird (69)
Rajon Rondo (32)
Antoine Walker (13)
Paul Pierce (10)
Evan Turner (2)

That's it.

To be fair, it's not quite as amazing as it sounds.  The NBA didn't keep track of triple-doubles until 1979-80, so who knows what guys like Cowens, Havlicek and Russell might have done.

But still.  Larry Legend, Rondo, Employee No. 8, The Truth... and Evan Turner.  Wow.
