Celtics rise to No. 25 in ESPN's NBA Power Rankings

The Celtics retired #25 for K.C. Jones.
The latest edition of Marc Stein's ESPN NBA power rankings has just been released, with the Celtics checking in at No. 25.  Boston's 1-1 start helped them move up two places from No. 27 last week, passing the now No. 26 Bucks (1-2) and No. 27 Pistons (0-3).

Looking at the teams above them, the C's definitely have some room to climb.  The Jazz, Pacers and Timberwolves (all 1-2) occupy the 24th through 22nd spots, while the recently-demolished-by-Boston Nets (1-1) are 21st.

The Celtics play at Dallas tonight, host the Raptors Wednesday and the Pacers Friday, then go to Chicago on Saturday.  If Boston can manage to keep its record at .500, the C's should rise significantly in the rankings next week.
