Welcome back to the main roster, Chris Babb

CSNNE-

BOSTON - The Celtics, beset with several injuries, are expected to sign guard Chris Babb on Saturday.

Babb, who has played with the Celtics' NBA Development League team in Maine, was the last player cut in Celtics training camp.

Chris Babb, one of the unexpected highlights of the Celtics pre-season, is set to sign a 10-day contract with the Celtics. Babb has spent this season as a member of the Maine Red Claws after being the last player cut during Celtics training camp. In his time in Maine, Babb has averaged 11.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 34.8 percent on 3s.

Bringing Babb up to the Boston roster will hopefully add some firepower to the bench in the absence of Avery Bradley, who will miss his eighth game with an ankle injury.
