D-League Vipers forward Chris Johnson could sign 10-day contract with the Celtics

According to Yahoo's Adrian Wojnarowski, D-League Rio Grande Valley Vipers small forward Chris Johnson has traveled to Boston to workout for the Celtics and is likely to sign a 10 day contract:

A University of Dayton graduate, Johnson has scored 18, 24, and 18 points in his last 3 D-League games for the Vipers.

Johnson has little NBA experience. This season, he signed with the Brooklyn Nets but was waived on October 26th before the season started. During the 2012-2013 season, he signed two 10-day contracts with the Memphis Grizzlies and played in 8 games, his best performance being 10 points/4 rebounds in a win over the Brooklyn Nets, shooting 50% (2/4) from behind the 3 point line.

Previous to his stint with the Grizzlies, he was signed and waived by both the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Note: This is not the same Chris Johnson that the Celtics signed to a 10 day contract to fill the void after the Kendrick Perkins trade.
