Celtics skyrocket up to #17 in ESPN's NBA Power Rankings

It's appears winning three straight games and obliterating the Knicks on their home floor is finally earning some respect for the first place Celtics.  In the latest edition of Marc Stein's ESPN power rankings Boston has risen all the way up to #17 overall, a ten spot jump from their previous position (when they were 27th of 30) that makes them easily the biggest movers of the week.

At 10-12 and victorious in 6 of their last 8 contests, the C's find themselves above other playoff contenders #18 Memphis (9-10), #19 Chicago (8-10), #20 New Orleans (9-10), and #21 Charlotte (9-11).  The rest of the pathetic Atlantic Division is ranked #23-25 (Raptors, Knicks, Nets) and #27 (Sixers).
