Brad Stevens impressed with Phil Pressey
Boston Celtic's head coach Brad Stevens had a lot to take away from day one of training camp yesterday in Newport, RI. Point guard Phil Pressey surprised enough people in summer league to earn himself a contract and a spot on this season's roster. It seems like Pressey hasn't lost a step since Orlando heading into Newport. With Rajon Rondo missing from drills, Stevens had high praise for the un-drafted rookie:
With MarShon Brooks and Jordan Crawford both known as players that have never met a shot they don't like, Pressey may be the best option to run the point for the team's success... if he continues to catch the eye of Coach Stevens.

#Celtics coach Brad Stevens: (former Waltham High guard) Phil Pressey was as good as any guard on the floor for us yesterday.Unlike anyone else that is healthy on the Celtics roster, Pressey is a pure point guard. Stevens has already expressed that he expects Avery Bradley to handle the PG duties until Rondo can return, something Bradley has mightily struggled with in the past.
