Who cares if Gary Washburn voted for Carmelo Anthony?

LeBron James was named the league's MVP, and if it weren't for the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn, he would've been the first ever unanimous MVP.

Heard about this yet?

The story has been all over the news. Why? I have no idea.

Sure it would've been kind of cool for LeBron and Heat fans if he was unanimous, but does it really make that much of a difference? LeBron has 4 MVPs, I don't think anyone will think less of him because none of them were unanimous.

Earlier, Deadpsin started  the rumor that Dan Le Batard was the one who didn't vote for James so that he could troll the media. Which, while untrue, was a whole lot more entertaining of a story than this is.

I have no idea why Washburn would think that Anthony was more deserving of the MVP than James, but I don't really care that much either. James is still getting the MVP, I'm not sure why anything else matters.
