Video and photos of Rajon Rondo's strange pre-game ritual, submitted by Celtics Life readers

A few days ago, we posted an article about Jason Terry's description of Rajon Rondo's really bizarre pre-game ritual:

"(Rajon Rondo's) routine is long-winded and it lasts all the way through tip-off. It starts in the back hallway. He runs down a corridor and he throws the ball to our team chaplain, who throws it back. Then [Rondo] runs out into a circle, high-fives the whole team and then he does the layup lines for five minutes.

"Then he will stand under the goal and Paul Pierce will shoot every ball on the rack from half court. Rondo will catch four balls at one time and then after that, it's just amazing -- one pass off the backboard to KG, one bounce pass to Paul Pierce and then he throws it all the way up to the scoreboard and Jeff Green finishes with an alley-oop."

Many people thought JET might be joking, but a couple of Celtics Life readers stepped up and emailed a video and some photos they took of Rondo's routine.

Jerky sent us the above video, and here is what he said about it:

It's interesting because I just happened to be filming without any knowledge of this ritual at the time. I got most of it, but unfortunately I cut too soon before Jeff Green's dunk. (again I was really unaware of what I was filming at the time)

A second fan, who prefers to be left anonymous, submitted the photos below that she took of Rondo before games. In any case, it looks like Jason Terry was indeed telling the truth. Thanks so much to our readers for submitting the video and photos!
