Rajon Rondo on bumping ref, "I was joking, he laughed"
Fact Mott didn't make call on bump or even appear to warn him would seem to support Rondo. But getting terse on call w/NBA is on him.

According to Rondo, he was joking to ref Rodney Mott about pal Josh Smith's flop when the two bumped.

Either way, it's not like it matters. The Hawks GM tattle tailed and got Rondo in trouble, since he had a reputation as a ref bumper, he got suspended.
Still, it makes you wonder what the investigation entailed. If it was as simple as Rondo was just joking with the ref and it was a big misunderstanding, you'd think he would be cleared in the investigation. Maybe he just ignored the call from the NBA? He did say he didn't think it deserved an investigation. Who knows.
