Paul Pierce is about to pass Ray Allen on the all-time scoring list

"I'm coming for ya Ray."
Paul Pierce is number 23 on the NBA's all-time scoring list. Ray Allen is number 22.  Pierce has been creeping up on Allen all season, and his 23 points in Monday's victory at New York gave the Captain 23,268 for his career.  Meanwhile Ray went scoreless (0-5 from the field, 0-4 on threes) in Miami's loss to Indiana last night (I love that I could include these nuggets of info), leaving him stuck on 23,301.

If Pierce can score his uniform number tonight against the Suns, he'll move past Allen and become the 22nd most prolific scorer in league history.  Even if he does, Ray would likely take the position right back tomorrow night in Portland.  But considering the fact that Pierce is averaging 19.9 points per game compared to Allen's 11.3, it seems very likely that the current Celtic will soon pass the former Celtic for good.
