Celtics rise to #13 in ESPN power rankings

ESPN's weekly Monday edition of the Marc Stein NBA power rankings is out, and the Celtics have moved up  four more spots from last week, now at #13.  Looking at the teams above them, one could argue Boston should be as high as #9 this week.  The C's torched #12 Portland on Nov. 30th, just handled the #11 Rockets on Friday, blew out the #10 Nets on Christmas Day, and won at #9 New York without Rajon Rondo a week ago.

Boston's next 3 contests are all at home; tonight against Charlotte, Wednesday vs. New Orleans, and Friday the Bulls come to town.  Sunday the Celtics head to Detroit, but still a very winnable game.  If the C's can run the table this week and extend their streak to 9 straight, we should see some major movement in the rankings next Monday.
