Celtics move up to #17 in ESPN power rankings

John Havlicek, #17
ESPN's weekly Marc Stein NBA power rankings are out, and for the first time all season the Celtics are actually on the rise.  With a 16-17 record Boston checks in at #17, up three spots from #20 a week ago.  While Stein may be undervaluing the Celtics last two wins, he's also not jumping to any drastic conclusions based on the Lakers recent struggles; he has them at #14 despite a 15-18 record and a 3 game losing streak.

Tonight the C's head to Madison Square Garden to take on the #7 Knicks in the highly anticipated first Boston-New York matchup of the season.
