Video: Rajon Rondo says this year's squad is more talented than the 2008 championship team

During an interview with CSNNE,
Rajon Rondo said that he was getting a haircut in his basement when he saw a poster on the wall of the Celtics' 2008 NBA Championship team.

At about 2 minutes into the video above, Rondo says "I believe this team is more talented than that team. But the key to the success in 2008 is that everyone bought into the system. So if we can believe in what Doc is telling us,then I'm sure we will be successful."

Rondo knows that a lot of sacrifices will have to be made, since with the depth at most positions, some players will have to sacrifice playing time. But if they buy into the system and what the coaches tell them, Rondo believes "the sky is the limit."

Rondo, Paul Pierce, and Doc Rivers are all really intrigued by all of the potential line-ups the 2012-2013 squad can provide. Rondo says he could envision at some point in the game that he plays the 1, Pierce plays the 2, Jeff Green the 3, Brandon Bass at the 4, and Kevin Garnett at the 5, and they can all switch up defensively.

I think we will see a lot of experiments with line-ups and chemistry in the pre-season, as the coaches have many different weapons they can utilize now, so the key is seeing how the best fit together.
