Celtics pursuing Jason Terry as possible Ray replacement
Faced with the possibility of losing Ray Allen, the Boston Celtics are pursuing Dallas Mavericks free-agent guard Jason Terry, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
The Celtics are preparing themselves for the possible loss of Allen, and began the process of recruiting Terry after midnight ET Saturday, league sources said.
Terry, 34, averaged 15 points for the Mavericks this season.
Let's say Ray leaves. Who would you prefer: Jason Terry or Jamal Crawford? Somewhat similar players. Terry of course is an NBA champion. My gut (Not Tanguay's) tells me that Crawford has more left in the tank, but who knows? Again, also depends on how much each will demand financially.
