The #Celtics are close to reaching an agreement to bring Marquis Daniels back this season, according to two sources.

Good depth signing for the Celtics. You can't count on Marquis to be healthy all season and playoffs, but with a compressed regular season you're going to need a lot of depth. Daniels when healthy can provide solid minutes off the bench to keep Pierce's minutes down. Danny can't count on Daniels as the sole backup wing (as he mistakenly did last season), so expect another rotation wing to be added before all is said and done, whether that's Jeff Green or someone else.

Good move..he was just starting to play well last year before that freak injury, Now sign Delonte

  2. His injury last year killed them. They had NO ONE to backup Pierce for the Playoffs.

    I wish TA didn't leave...

  3. First good news ive seen in a little while. Hopefully we get Green and Delonte back as well (and keep Rondo).

I wish TA hadnt left either.

If Delonte comes back who's the odd man out? Etwuan or Avery? Solid bench though with Delonte/Quis/Green/Baby/Jujuan. Hopefully Green can turn into that go to scorer off the bench.

@anon. Jeff Green/Glen Davis (if h coms back) could be thrown in the starting lineup as well during several occasions to give Pierce and KG rest during the many back-to-backs and the dreaded back-to-back-to-back.

  6. joserra says:

We need to keep Delonte West, he is the one who can keep Rondo's minutes down.

I'm glad to see another player on celtics life who actually wants to play for the celtics
