Player MJ: The Bulls should pay me 40 million a year & renegotiate Scotty's contract and pay him $20 mil.
Owner MJ:  $7 million for a player? Too much. $3 million? Too much. They should play for free damn it!
The NBA held a 20-minute conference call Thursday to update its owners on the state of the labor situation, according to an ownership source.

Commissioner David Stern spoke to the 29 owners (the NBA still owns the New Orleans Hornets) on what the source described as "an update call."

The owners' strategy going forward was not discussed and no further meetings or calls were scheduled, either among the owners or with the players' attorneys, the source said.

The source acknowledged that the two sides need to resume negotiations in order to save the 2011-12 season. But the source also added that his gut feeling is that the season will be lost.

"No one wants to miss the season, but about half of the owners are willing to miss the season if it means fighting for a better deal," the source said.
I bolded the money quote. The truth about this lockout is that as long as the owners don't care if there's a season or not, there won't be a deal. It takes two sides to make a deal and right now the players are the only ones that want to make one.

MJ the Owner cont: "Back in my day, Jud Buechler played for free. Yep that's right look it up...him & Scott Burrell & Randy Brown all played for free. Shit Dave Corzine played for a bucket of chicken and Kyle Macy paid US to start at guard next to me! And Tyrus Thomas wants how much?"

  2. JR says:

You just know MJ the owner thinks that players shouldn't get paid when they're injured too.

Who wouldn't pay to play under MJ? He did that thing in Vegas, where you'd pay about 15k to play 1on1 with him, I think.
